Dhanavruksha taxation update

The news on debt funds losing the indexation benefit is the talk of today.

Investments made in Debt funds, Gold Funds and International funds starting from 1st April 2023 will not have the benefit of indexation for tax calculation and will be taxed at the marginal tax slab. These funds are currently taxed at 20% with indexation currently after 3 years.

However any investment done in these funds until 31st March will not be impacted by this announcement.

So if you wish to invest in long term debt funds, gold funds or international funds try and rush it before 31st March to get the benefit of indexation.

Note : There is lack of clarity when it comes to the dynamic hybrid funds which follow the Fund of Funds model which we shall update you as and when we get complete clarity
